And So It Begins...

I talked GLH into opening one stocking-stuffer present this evening. (I gave him a mystery/suspense novel. He gave me a Sudoku puzzle book.)

Let's see what else we can manage, eh?

I'm guessing you'll manage to have nothing left to open on Christmas.

Duh! We never have gifts left on Christmas Day. They are opened by Christmas Eve, at the latest.

Have you forgotten that is how it has worked OUR ENTIRE LIVES!!!

Christmas Eve is for immediate family. Christmas Day is for extended family and friends.

That's why I said "Christmas", without the "day" or "eve" -- to allow for the possibility you could be celebrating on either. And the (granted, remote) possibility that some out there actually do not adopt to our family's traditions.

Heck we don't adopt our family traditions. Why would others?
