Christmas in Kansas City

This evening after it stopped snowing, we went for a drive to look at the Christmas light displays.

Riding around the city, listening to Christmas music, we saw many beautiful, tasteful displays...

And some not as tasteful, but exuberant displays...

And ended our drive through the Plaza with their nationally famous Christmas lights display...

And when we went home, we had the satisfaction of having the only completely shoveled driveway in the neighborhood. Thank you, GLH!!!

Beautiful pictures. There were a few houses near where I grew up that were known for their overkill. Really. Like a Christmas Market exploded on the front lawn. I miss that sometimes. It's all so white and tasteful here.

And this was just a sampling. Most of the homes in the area have displays of one kind or another.

Not ours, however. With the move on Jan 3 and the fact we won't be here over Christmas, we didn't bother. Just a simple wreath on the door, mostly so it looks home-y for propsective buyers...
