Milestone

Yesterday Global Baby started eating solids!

We debated back and forth about when to begin because we wanted to wait until he was 6 months. (Currently he is 4.5 months.)

But he had other ideas. He showed many of the expected signs that he was ready for solids. And most importantly, he had been eating more than 40 ounces per day and had started waking up in the middle of the night for extra feedings. Indications he was too hungry with just the formula.

Our little baby is edging ever closer to not being our "Little Baby" anymore.

Not the lest of which, he is already wearing size 12 months clothes!

Maybe he's going to be a tall one!

I just think you are feeding him some secret formula to do that, or is it the Swiss air? ;-)

On a more serious note, I hope his growing spurt slows down soon. He might be mistaken for an older child and at times, that is not fun at all...

I think that both Gretchen and her sister, Jennifer, know that feeling first hand.

I reached my full height (5'11") by the time I was 10. By the time I was 12, grown men were flirting with me, having no idea I was "jail-bait."

If he is a very tall child, I know how to deal with that. Although I think it is likely a bit easier for a boy than a girl.

Might be wrong. Any tall men want to comment?
