A Very Good Night

Last night was the first full night of sleep that I have gotten in many months. The temperatures dropped near freezing. With our windows still open, it was finally cool enough for a really good sleep.

When I am too warm, even slightly, I wake up continually and have difficulty going back to sleep. Last night I slept like a baby.

Perhaps more like a "polar bear baby." But I was happy.

Summer is finally over. Welcome to Fall!

Perhaps now I can finally get rid of the dark circles under my eyes...

Is there any evidence of mammals who hibernate over summer? Maybe that's your answer!

I already hibernate over the summer as much as possible. Or I spend it going to cooler climates (i.e. Baltic cruise) or visiting people with air conditioning!

God, I really, really miss central air conditioning.

I am convinced I have Reverse Seasonal Affective Disorder.

After almost three years here, I still haven't acclimated to the toasty warm temperatures inside these swiss homes. We're running about 73F here, and I haven't yet turned on the heat!

You actually had summer there? We sure didn't.

I would have to agree with the reverse seasonal affective disorder. I am sooooo happy it is finally getting colder here, and I am also happy I will be visiting my adoring big sister during February when it isn't hot :)
