We are leaving the Deutsch textbooks behind and moving on to reading & discussing books in German. We are starting with a modern baby care book. My tutor thought it would be interesting to compare and contrast the baby advice given to Germans and Americans. I agreed!
Seeing how much baby advice varies just in the US, I'm sure it'd be interesting to see how much bigger of a wrench a diff language and culture throw into the mix!
ReplyDeleteThe book is written by a local baby expert from Winterthur, so it'll be interesting to see the official Swiss advice. (Lord knows I get plenty of the unofficial advice!)
ReplyDeleteis it Babyjahre by Largo? LOVE HIM.
ReplyDeleteYou got it in one. It is Babyjahre by Remo Largo.
ReplyDeleteMy tutor told me it is a baby book that all Swiss German mothers read. Kind of like the Swiss Dr. Spock, I guess...
Yep, Largo is the Bible for Swiss moms. He's got one, Kinderjahre, too for older kids. Have it, haven't read it yet though Small Boy is getting to that age.
ReplyDeleteWhat does this have to do with the web page's title?
